Post-update: email doesn't automatically sync any more

I just got the update for the Galaxy S3. Ever since then, 3 of my 4 email accounts aren't automatically syncing. I have to manually do it. I've checked the settings and they're still set to do it every 5 minutes.

I've deleted accounts and put them back in the phone and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

I figured out what the issue was but it makes no sense to me. I have to keep the "sync" feature on the ENTIRE TIME in order for those particular email addresses to constantly sync. My work email apparently does not need it to be on.


Does that make sense to anyone else?? Is there a work-around? I'd rather not have to have the SYNC on all the time and drain the battery.

Yes it does make sense to have Sync on to Sync the email and phone. That is the way it works.
