SGS3 can't Connect to Android Transfer in Camera (PTP) mode.

Every time I attempt to locate my files from my SGS3 on my Mac Book Pro I am unsuccessful in connecting to Android File Transfer.

I have done much research on using the Android File Transfer. I have a Mid 2010 Mac Book with Lion on it. I am extremely confused, do I need to use the actual cord from the SGS3 or can any be used, i am using another cord at the moment, but it doesn't seem that the cable from SGS3 is anything special.... HELP PLEASE!!!!!

The Youtube videos and the Forms dont help at all so I started my own.
