Is it Brushed Steel/Aluminium or Plastic

I am a complete Android newbie and I am considering buying the HTC Amaze but I had a question. The back and edges look like brushed steel/aluminium, however, when I played with it in the Tmobile store I couldn't quite tell if it is brushed steel or plastic. (Plus the Tmobile guy was standing next to me the entire time - fear I was going to make off with it? ). Since you guys already own copies I thought I would ask you before I took the leap.

So can anyone tell me what material is used in making the accents?

The sides and part of the backing is made from a single piece of aluminum. You're going to love the build quality. One of the major reasons why I picked the Amaze over the Samsung Galaxy S II.
