Why cant I download pix while on WIFI?

When I had my blackberry, I received mms no problem over wifi thru UMA.

I get no service in my apartment so I am always connected to wifi and wifi calling.

I can send MMS no problem, but whenever someone sends me one, I cant download it. Always says downloading then about 5 minutes later it says download failed.

Is this a known problem? Just asking because I never used WIFI calling, only UMA.

Also, is there anything that can be done about it? Remember, if I take off wifi, I get no signal.

I dont think you can send texts via Wifi only without using an app such as Heywire or Talkatone. I think you can also use Google Voice.

I can send normal texts and pictures fine. I just cant receive the pictures. Wont let me download them. Weird thing is though, a different person sent me a pic after i posted this and I received it no problem. I have to see what kinda phone and service they use and compare to the other 2 that I couldn't download pix from.

Bare in mind that I am connected thru wifi calling everytime and if off, I get no service, so theres no way the phone got service for a second to download it.. Hmm research time

EDIT: Now its not letting me send MMS also. WTF, why does it work sometimes
