Group texts create duplicate chat bubbles

Does anyone else experience this annoying feature:
When sending a text message to multiple contacts the message app creates a chat bubble of the same text for every contact. So if I send a text that says, "meet up at 11" to 27 of my contacts I get 27 chat bubbles that say "meet up at 11".
This is super lame, yesterday I sent a message to everyone of my contacts (changing phone numbers) and I got over 100 chat bubbles in the list.

Currently using GoSMS Pro but it does this with Handcent as well.

Yeah, it does this using the standard messaging app on my phone as well. I wish it would just list the message once and state the contacts that it was all sent to at the top. Unfortunately it does not. No way to fix it that I know of except for maybe using a 3rd party messaging app to do your sms messaging.

GO SMS does the same thing. Thought about deleting native SMS but heard it creates other issues.
