HTC White Screen Green Letters

Anyone having issues with their Sensation knocking Sense out of memory often? Mine occurs always when installing/updating apps. It also happens at least several time a day when closing other apps.

Did you have to take widgets off of your screen? Use a task killer? Or, just living with it? Is there any way to prioritize android so Sense is the last application that it will close when running low on memory? It seems to me that the RAM on this phone is not near enough.

It is happening all the time, and is making me batty. Seems to be worse after the update.

I took the Friendstream widget off and the lock screen. This seemed to be eating a whole lot of memory. I'll report back here after a week or two if it's resolved to problem.

Same here. It drove me nuts. That was the final straw and I rooted. I'm using a custom ROM with Sense in it and I've never had the issue again.

im planning to root my sensation...

i have that problem too, hopefully it will be fixed in a coming update

I'm using Android Revolution HD 3.6.1 XE with Beats Audio. Basically the same ROM that comes in the Sensation XE, but with tweaks and custom kernel (faux123 version 0.1.9). It's overclocked at 1.5 when in active use and underclocked at 0.2 when in stand by. It makes all the difference regarding battery life:

Plus, Beats Audio has a nice EQ setting, you can clearly tell the difference over standard EQ.

I am starting to experience this problem more and more too. Sometimes just doing simple things like deleting a text message and then returning to the home screen I get the 'htc white screen'. Both my Sensations are doing this too.

I am using the stock ROM and Sense. I have not rooted or mod'ed the device and only have a few apps installed.

I decided to root my phone primarily to get rid of this obnoxious issue. It worked. It has been rooted with a custom ROM for about 10 days. Didn't see the whitescreen once.
