Well I had it 4 weeks and the freezing and turning off having heated up just got worse and worse!! It got to the point that it would not turn back on at all!! Much to my dismay they wouldn't replace it so its in for repair.....

I'm following the tracker which now says the repair has been carried out just waiting for it to go through quality control apparently.

This is what the repair says;

Repair Description

- Software update
- Replacement - Main Board,TMEU,GBR,HTC,TMUK,B1/4/8 Global,Carbon Gray,w/ SIM Lock,PYRAMID-O3
- Screening

its also down as having a new IMEI number so is it really just a new phone?:-\

No idea if you're getting a new phone. Sorry to hear that your phone gave you so much trouble after only four weeks. Mine has been a darling to own. That being said, I can state that I found the OS that HTC gave to be too bloated. In the little time that I've dabbled with custom ROM's I feel that those are much better. They seem not to use up so many resources. This in turn makes the phone run faster.

Keep us posted. Again, hope they fix it up nicely.
