quick question about 4g

I'm looking into getting a Sensation and i currently have a Nexus S. If i buy the phone off someone could i use 3g rather than 4g? i guess what i'm asking is, can I put my 3g sim card in and still use my data without buying a 4g plan? thanks!

Don't believe there's a premium fee for 4G. 4G is basically 3G but faster. So you would be using 4G regardless.

+1. Just go to T-Mobile store and ask for a new SIM. They can give you a new one without buying any other plan. Correction..they HAVE to give you a new one if you ask for one.

Technically you could just use the same exact SIM card from your Nexus. If you already have a new SIM card then it's really unneccessary to pick up a new one.

But as stated earlier, there isn't a premium fee for web on a 4G phone like there is on Sprint. They're all the same
