Just tethered!

I just tethered my mytouch3g with my laptop! It was so easy. Does anyone have any tips for PDAnet? I did have one problem where it disconnected and then wouldnt recconect for a few moments.

PDAnet is not good solution.

if you did that via PDAnet, later it will force you to register and pay for it. otherwise it will only support very limited version of tether.

Being how you probably have the trial version in a few days or times you connect it will limit you to Http only and some other things.

If you're rooted, you can use Wireless Tether for Root Users. It's quick and easy.

The only limitation is after the app expires you won't be able to do "https" otherwise works fine. I use it to connect to work all the time (VPN)

Actually there is a way around the https limitation if you don't mind repetition. When you hit the point of it limiting you to http, when you click the buy button it has to let you into an https website so it will drop the restriction for that session.

Is there a way for your carrier to trace unauthorized tethering? T-Mobile doesn't have any lit on tethering that I could find.
