System Update Today?

There have been some reports on Twitter of a system update rolling out today, has anyone gotten this? And no it is not 2.0 or 2.1. Sorry.

girlfriend has a MyTouch 3G and hasn't received anything.

I havent gotten the upgrade either but i bought my mytouch almost 2 weeks ago. i wonder if there is any particular order for the way they are releasing the update, or could it be that they are sending it to random mytouch users.

I just called T-mobile phone support because I just received my MT3G yesterday and noticed it was still running cupcake 1.5 and was wondering where my donut was..phone support said that they were rolling out an updated version of 1.6 today 02/09/10 and everybody should be receiving it either now or with in a couple weeks. It's going to be rolled out selectively just like all the previous updates. Just thought I'd let you guys know

Updated version of 1.6 still doesn't mean 2.1

Well no I never said it was going to be 2.1, I said it's a second revision of 1.6 you know kind of like "1.6r2" or something. 2.1 for MT3G probably won't be realeased until the end of Q2 2010 at the earliest..and never at the latest lol

Got the update to my myTouch 3G this morning (02/11/2010), and don't really see any "visible" changes. Guess just under the hood kinda thing. Might be a little bit more responsive (ie: exiting out of the market) but that also just might be my imagination.

My mom bought the orig MT3G yesterday there was an update on the phone when I was walking past this morning 58megs updated a few things like the android market and now i can load google maps 4.0 on it. it is a little more responsive as well.

The MT3G+ did not get this update. (Mine)

Your mom's phone was probably getting updated from 1.5 to 1.6

just got it myself....gonna have to pay attention to the performance today to see if it's improved at all

I just upgraded to T mobile HTC My Touch about a month ago. First leap into 3G from years with motoRazor. Have no idea why the rush for system upgrades and the next best thing is so driven. This Android phone is the bomb AS IS ! Apps are being created faster than I can find them or find uses for them when I do. When a new email comes in on MY phone Achmed says"SILENCE! I KILL YOU!"
