I spend most of my time listening to podcasts, either on bluetooth headphones or speakerphone. The headphones need to be at ~30% and the speakerphone needs to be at 100%.

On my old phone, the levels would adjust, If I disconnected from bluetooth the volume would increase and if I connected to bluetooth it would decrease. I think it stored the last level used in each case, and jumped to that.

How can I get this functionality on my MyTouch4GSlide?

This shouldn't be difficult. I had it on my N900.

You would think there would be an App or something to do this for Android. Just set the level to the last value for Speaker/WiredPhones/Bluetooth.
