Problem trying to change call forward options.
Hi,
this is my post #1 in this forum. I just changed from Palm Pre Plus to a Samsung Google Nexus S. The phone I bought (unlocked) was supposed to be brand new but I think it was used a little before. Anyway it is great and working very fine but I have a problem. In the call forward options there was a number to be called in case of not responding phone. I want to disable those options but I got an error message and the old number come back. It says something like my provider does not allow changing those call forward options. Any suggestion? Thanks. - 10-22-2011, 05:21 PM

Re: Problem trying to change call forward options.
Hello, Moin Moin, Salü!
Same here - with a brand new, unbranded and unlocked german Nexus S with 2.3.6. and o2 (germany) SIM.
The call forward settings are configured in the "carriers network" but not in the phone or SIM.
I do not know your carriers default settings but o2 (germany) uses the following:
-: "Busy": re-direction to the voice mail box.
-: "Not avaiable" and "Not responding": re-direction the SMS-Info Service.
For this reason it may pretty normal that the option can not be deactivated, but another target phone number may be entered.
