ICS Rebooting Issue
I'm wondering if anyone else has been having a rebooting issue since they got the official ICS update.
My phone didn't have this issue before (not rooted) but after the ICS upgrade it will randomly reboot on it's own. Happens maybe 2 or 3 times a day. I did a factory wipe and it still seems to do it and I occasionally get an android.process force close error (not sure which one) but I'm not sure if that's related. I also thought it was related to NoLED but I uninstalled that and it still seems to have the reboot issue.
Any ideas what the issue might or what fixes there might be? Thanks! - 12-22-2011, 11:33 AM #2
Re: ICS Rebooting Issue
Perhaps something you installed is causing the reboots/force closes. The only way to tell is to do a factory reset again and not install any apps, run the phone through its paces for a bit and see if you can recreate the problem.

Re: ICS Rebooting Issue
It's happening to me as well. Probably an App that isn't ICS compliant yet... But it just happenes occassionally when nothing in particular is being used on the phone. I will just notice that the phone is restarting by itself when I leave it alone.
It's too much of a pain in the *** to go through all of my apps. - 01-03-2012, 10:45 AM #6
Re: ICS Rebooting Issue
Happening to me as well! It happens when during no activity every day or 2. I am thinking maybe it is memory leak that is causing the phone to reboot. I am interested to know what is causing this. Is it a memory leak which causes the phone to reboot or an app? Is there a log file that I can check on this phone when this happens?

Re: ICS Rebooting Issue
It might be related to Google Plus. My wife wasn't experiencing any rebooting until i enabled Google plus on her phone. Her phone rebooted once and I immediately uninstalled Google Plus. That solved her problem, unfortunately, that didn't solve mine.

Anyone have any other ideas?
