    Default usb storage full

I just did a full factory reset on my nexus s running ics but when I go to system settings and under usb storage it says i have used 13GB even though i have not downloaded any apps yet. Also when i tried putting music on the phone it says i do not have sufficient memory. Any help would be appreciated !

A factory reset does not wipe the (internal) SD card. It should however wipe the partition used for apps.

When you visit the directory of your SD card in a file manager, what do you see? If you can't install a file manager because of a lack of space, you can also inspect the contents of your SD card by attaching it to your computer via USB.
