Nexus S - Is there any way to remove or block the phone function

Ok, I know this seems like a very strange thing to do, but the Nexus S in question is being used by a toddler as an MP3 player and for a few fisher price games. Is there any way to basically render the device as just a mini tablet? It still has access to 911. I want to make certain she is not calling on accident.

Welcome to Android Central! Turn on Airplane Mode--that should prevent any calls from being made, and I'm guessing your toddler won't turn it back on. After Airplane Mode is turned on, you can turn wi-fi back on.

Another solution is to use a kid-safe launcher, like Kids Place.
