I want to change LOCKED SCREEN timeout interval.. How can I do it?
I mean when I press power on button it lights up and shows lock screen waiting around 2-3 seconds for me to unlock it.. if I dont unlock, it goes to dark again. I want to change this time interval to make it last long enough to see my incoming sms info on status bar. Help pls.

I'm not sure if you can do this on stock Android 2.3
But if you are on CM7, go into Settings>CyanogenMod settings>Lockscreen>Delay and timeout>Screen timeout delay

There, you can go as quick as immediately to as late as 30 minutes.

Doesn't work for me. Even if I have the screen timeout to 5 minutes or 30 seconds the lock screen only lasts about 18 seconds.

It's not what I asked for... It's just screen saver, lock timer.. I wanna change "waiting for unlock" (lockscreen) timeout

I don't think there is a way unless you are rooted. Sorry Zozzy.

Wow I thought android is very flexible os... bummer!!

Anyway, I figured that if I don't use pattern style unlock, my sms program (Go Sms) can unlock my screen. Yay
