Is there a decent sms notification app?

I know I'm late to this party, but is there an app that will continue to notify me of a waiting sms text? Did I set something wrong? I get one notification, and well if I don't keep checking, I'm just out of luck. Did I miss something?

Someone else will have to reply for that one. I don't use SMS. I just see this app recommended a lot!

Handcent uses your native keyboard like swype, android, gingerbread (my fav) etc. Turn on screen on notifications so it wakes your phone up. LOVE IT!!!

Thanks mikevo sounds pretty simple and sounds like it will steer clear of my other sms programs. Might give this one a try.

I used Handcent but I uninstalled it because it was constantly sending me duplicats of the same message OVER and OVER again. It was really annoying.

NoLED. Works great. That is what i use. It also notifies you about emails, voicemails as well as other things. Very customizable. Downloadable via the Market.

I see you all have mentioned a few different notification apps. I surfed and seemed to find that NoLed is specifically made for my future phone. Would this be a good choice. As a Blackberry user, used to copious visible notification I need your help here. I read elsewhere on this fine forum that NoLed was created specifically for the Nexus. Would this app be "applicable?
