Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased a Samsung TV with the AllShare capability and was very interesting in it.
"Problem" is I have a Nexus S and it does not come with AllShare, so far so good, the phone is not sold by Samsung so why should it come with it, but every AllShare apk I have downloaded does not install on my Nexus, idk if it is an Android OS issue or if it really does not install on the Nexus.

I'm using the 2.3.4 OS.

Anyone has any input on that?

Thanks in advance,

Yeah I am pretty sure it's in the TouchWiz framework, might have to take that up with Samsung :(

I'm sorry, I am not familiar with this TouchWiz, what is it?
And maybe I should contact Samsung? Do you think they may help?

Contact Samsung to see if there is anything you could do about it, but I doubt you could.

And TouchWiz is user interface just like Motoblur and HTC Sense. Only by Samsung. It's great if you want a lot of extras like Allshare.

Guys, have just uploaded AllShare to my Nexus S, what I did was:

1- Root the phone
2- Install CM7.0.3 on it
3- Install the TouchWiz that I got here.
4- Install AllShare that I got here.

Got it all from the XDA-Developers Forums...

I HAVEN'T TESTED IT YET, so don't know if it will work, but as far as I did the phone is running great, also remembering that rooting your phone is going to void the warranty.

Cheers,

Lol I would have suggested all that, next time you should state if you're rooted, but glad you have it running :-D

My phone was not rooted, I decided to do so just because of the AllShare.
Bad news, the AllShare app couldn't be installed still, just that MediaShare that I posted.

And the MediaShare is not that good, the TV says the phone disconnects every time, I prefer the Twonky still for media sharing.

If anybody knows how to install the AllShare by Samsung let me know...
