Sorry for the long delay but I have been running for close to 24 hours and no issues at all. I noticed the stock boot animation but wasn't concerned about it really.
Has been working great for me as well. I flashed Goldenleaf .v110919 / franco.Kernel.v19.4-gbs.v18a - no problems at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One small inconvenience i noticed, when phone is in standby, you have to tap the power button to awaken it. Before the back button would bring it out of standby...............Keep them coming - GREAT JOB !!!!
Could wifi TX power be improved (most want more battery life - I prefer power) - lol
tried installing the latest franco - [KERNEL][04 SEP]franco.Kernel |.v19.4| 2.6.32.46 kills wifi calling - oh well -lol
updated once more to V2c - sorry
refined the theming a little bit, people said it was too hard to see things with the current color scheme - also added in some speed tweaks to the /system/init.d/ directory - removable, if you just delete the appropriate file - the tweaks are semi labeled. removed most of the blue "color effects" in the framework and replaced with white. restored black and white app icons to colored icons. did some build.prop tweaks - increased camera picture and video quality. this should be the last update until a newer version is released from lge. i noticed superuser released an update yesterday after my work. it should automatically update for you regardless, if it doesnt, just hit the market and click update. double checked the home button only wake is still in effect. see 2nd post for original keypad flashable file. i will be adding 2 battery mods to post #2 for version V2c. a round one and a "fuel gauge" one.
let me know if anyone has any problems. v2 has alot more additions than v1. i was unable to install and test the v2u unthemed version - lack of time. someone post their results with it please. in case i need to fix or remove it temporarily.
thanks and good day
thx - i'm bored for a minute - i'll d/l it now - thx - keep them coming
If i.ve made you smile, then i've done my job - hehehehe
After hours of t/s my routers, I've found that the kernel I posted earlier seems to keep my phone from using the wifi calling feature - wi-fi (data) works fine. No problems at all - all buttons are where they should be.
Hi. Thank you for your hard work on this ROM. I installed it successfully and things are working OK except for the problem with foreign characters. They are not displayed correctly in emails or in Web pages anymore. I am not sure if this is because of the "US English locale" you mentioned at the first post, or is there any settings I need to do to be able to read the characters properly?

Thanks again for this great ROM.
hi gpsuf.
can you specify which version you installed?
this is so i can pinpoint the problem.
there are many versions of this rom out there now.
today i have added V2D to the original post.
maybe try this version and post your results?
thank you =)
arhtard this rom has come a long way since I first saw it. I haven't installed it but looking at the screenshots I can see you've put some time into this.
I briefly looked through it saw that you included the tun.ko (VPN) module but you need a script to load it. Consider including the following script in your init.d folder or delete tun.ko:
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
#
# Load VPN module
MODULES="tun"
MODULES_DIR="/system/lib/modules"
if [ ! -d $MODULES_DIR ]
then
exit 0
fi
for i in $MODULES
do
if [ -f $MODULES_DIR/$i.ko ]
then
insmod $MODULES_DIR/$i.ko >/dev/null 2>&1
fi
done
exit 0
You could also try modprobe but you'll want to test it.

i can mainly tinker on the weekends now - so it prob wont go into effect till next weekend.
i'm sure people are tired of updates on this - hopefully that will be the last fix needed.
