I just got my Optimus T and it will charge while connected to my desktop running Fedora 14 Linux but I do not get ANY dmesg output. It doesn't seem to matter if I enable the mass storage option or USB debugging.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Richard

Bad cable, maybe? I saw that happen once on my G1.

I think the dmesg info should show up whether or not udev was aware of what to do with the device.

BTW, once you do get it visible: I had to upgrade to a more recent adb to get it to talk to the OptT. The older adb that talked to my G1 was insufficient.

Fixed, Kinda

Well a reboot of the phone got it to work, not sure why that was necessary.

I rooted it and I'm now trying to get "adb shell" working but I think I need USB drivers. Unfortunately I'm not sure they're available for Linux.
