NFC not working

Good Day to all,

I am starting to get a bit frustrated in this so please bear with me. I have the tmo note 3 and my nfc will not turn on. I am not so concerned with the tap to pay but just turning on the NFC for other functionality.. Currently I am on CM12 most recent update but I have tried many other roms and even have gone back to stock.
What happens is when I try and turn it on the slider moves but then greys out with no message and it won't turn on.

Any help would be appreciated.

NFC antenna is on the battery. If you're using a non standard battery, it might not have the antenna.

Googling CM 12 NFC shows plenty of problems on many devices. So CM 12 seems a likely culprit too.

In closing I reverted back to stock and NFC is now working (not that I can use android pay ). Odd part is that I had done this once before and it didn't fix the problem before. This time I used the Samsung Kies software and did an emergency restore and that fixed it.
