Cannot Get download mode?

Had 2.2 official from tmobile upgraded to gingerbread did not like it wanted to go back to 2.2 and installed GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJP2 (whatever this is).... Needless to say i lost all my pictures of newborn babies but i cannot get into download mode at all. I tried everything volume up down usb nothing works.

When i turn my phone on i get galaxy s gt-i9000 and i even tried their method for download mode and nothing....

how can i get back to tmobile version???'

Is there a way of recovering erased data from the phone?(trying to save the pics at least if possible?

Does the phone boot? If so, you can get into download mode via adb. Otherwise, you can make a jig.

If the pictures are on the internal SD, they SHOULD still be there.

NO it does not boot just show black screen tried jig nothing. Yes pics are on internal SD can i recover them without phone working?

So does it show the i9000 boot screen or does nothing come up? You can't recover them without the phone working, as far as I know, unless you figure out how to remove the memory from the phone and somehow find a way to access it.
