Odin, usb, help...

hey guys noob here, anyways im trying to revert my vibrant back to factory settings before i installed the OTA i cant take the battery draining within 2 hrs. so im trying to use Odin but when i follow the steps Odin does not recognize my device. i downloaded the 32bit windows file and installed the drivers but nothing so if anyone out there can pls hlep me with this or know another route i can take i would greatly apperciate it...thx
