The simplest version of upgrading to 2.2

Good day!
With all the hoopla about 2.2 coming to the Vibrant near you, I just want to know what's the simplest/easiest way to upgrade? I'm not interested in performing an open heart surgery on my Vibrant, just a painless upgrade (OTA perhaps). Is it possible?

I feel the same way. Not really wanting to perform heart surgery just to get a taste of Froyo. However, much love and many props to those who have made ROMs and whatnot to port over (not sure if I'm saying this right) Froyo to the Samsung Vibrant. Hopefully one day as I continue to learn more and more about Android and all the endless possibilites of porting and the such I'll become more vested in taking the dive into risk-taking, until then, I'm gonna stick it out till it officially comes out. Safest way for me, lol.

I just rooted my Vibrant and I'm trying to install 2.2 but can't figure it out (forgive my noobiness). Is there a step by step instruction page on the xda page?

And to get Froyo hope you know how to use ODIN, its probably the safest method. Its really not that hard and there are a ton of videos for it on youtube.

To get Froyo after root I started here...

Now I'm running...
