Unlocked vibrant question

I'm new to android (potentially gonna trade my ip4 for it) and was wondering if there would be any difficulty upgrading to 2.2 if it's put out through t mobile. And any other known issues with having an unlocked phone. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering this too. I suspect you won't get the update over the air but most likely could download it and apply the update.

from what i know if you have att the vibrant will pick the att's 3g i tried with my bro iphone . but most likely your going to have to manually install the all the future updates thru odin or the update.zip method.

this may be a silly question, but I have the vibrant but no longer with T-Mobile (I switched over to Walmart Family Mobile powered by T-Mobile because it's a lot cheaper), will I still get the update or do I manually have to install the update and if so where do I get it?
