can't mount phone to pc. (unrelated to kies or 2.2)

I had my phone mounted to my computer loading some music onto it when I got a call. The transfer was complete just hadn't unmounted it yet, I unplugged the charger from the phone because the cord was too short not thinking about it being mounted still. Now I can't get the computer to recognize my phone. This happened a couple months ago and just haven't worried about it but I want to load more music now. I've tried restarting the computer and my phone, using a different usb port and nothing works. It does work on other computers, just not the one I need it to work on. Any ideas please and thank you.

Is usb debugging on? try that
