    Default ETF and new phone?

If I terminate service, how does T-Mobile recoup from the 600 phone they've given me? My ETF is only 200 and I only paid 200 up front. Am I missing something?

If you're on the Value plan, you would be paying the termination fee as well the remaining balance on the phone.

If you're on the Classic plan, you'd only pay the termination fee.

You'd pay the last month of usage on both plans as well if you were to cancel.

The $600 is the retail price of the phone. T-Mobile probably paid about half that for the phone.

So, did you do the same thing I did. Signup on the classic plan, get the phone for $188, then pay the etf of $200? Unlock and use on ATT.
