Getting my 11yo and 13yo their first phones (as well as pulling my wife off her Verizon contract). Planning on sighing the kids up for the $30 T-Mobile pre-pay plan, and my wife on StraightTalk. Potential to go on a T-Mobile Family Value Plan instead (or after if we're unhappy with the service and/or minutes of the non-contract plans).
Anyways, looking for a couple decent phones for my kids, likely used. My initial search suggests the following:
-G2X for my 13yo Son. Dual Core, he'll likely use a custom ROM. 3G, so he won't suck down 5GB in the first week.
-Samsung Exhibit II for my 11yo Daughter: She wants a smaller phone, 1GHz process, nice compromise.
Any others I might want to consider?
Leaning towards a Galaxy Nexus for my wife.
