There used to be a $30 plan that came with 1500 credits that could be divided any way between voice minutes and SMS and some insignificant amount of data- I think like 30mb. I don't think that exists anymore, though. Last time I checked it appeared to have been replaced by a $35 plan that just had unlimited talk & text and zero data.

I also recommend looking at the kit sold on Amazon which includes a micro sim and first month activation for $28.99 (no tax), which is cheaper than what you pay at Walmart. I just did this a couple weeks ago for my unlocked Moto X and activated on T Mobile's website. I did have to cut the sim down to nano size, but that took only 5 minutes to do.
