    Default T-Mobile paying your ETF??

I am on a Family plan and my contract is up on March 6th ... I want to buy an iPhone 5C for my mother first and then pay the ETF which is $325. I will also bring my mothers old iPhone 4 to trade so I would be qualified under this deal. Now the question can I just do it myself or would the whole family have to do it as well ?

No, you can just port your own line if you wish. the etf is tied to whatever line(s) you port out. I'm not sure how it would work if your the Verizon account owner. You might have to do an AOL (assumption of liability) on the remaining lines before you port out.

Yeah you can port out, the rest of the family doesn't have to follow with you.

Off topic and wrong area but is there a way I could Stay on AT&T and keep my unlimited data plan ? I am happy with the service but I find T-Mobile cheaper.

Sure you can. Att allows you to keep unlimited data on upgrades.

If you are the account holder then you can have someone else assume liability of the other lines of service, assuming yours is the only unlimited data line.

My understanding is that att doesn't allow you to keep unlimited data when assuming liability anymore. Perhaps someone from the att forum knows the current status better.

I don't think they do on assuming liability either. They will let him upgrade and keep it though. Unless something changed recently that I am unaware of.

Upgrades should be able to keep unlimited data, from what I have heard as well.
