    Default Verizon phone on T-Mobile

I keep seeing phones for sale on Swappa that show verizon branding, but say they used the phone on T-Mobile. I haven't kept up on how phones work on different carriers, but I always thought that Verizon phones were limited to Verizon, but GSM phones worked on other networks (AT&T and T-Mobile).

Can you take a phone that is a "Verizon" phone like the LG G2, and move it over to T-Mobile? Will it only work on LTE, or will 3G also work?

Most (if not all) Verizon 4G LTE devices also have GSM & HSPA capabilities. However, I don't think the majority of them have the same LTE bands to support LTE on AT&T and T-Mobile.

The LG g2 supports band 4 lte, so you should get voice 2g,3g,and 4g (in refarmed areas) and 4GLTE. Now I don't know how the radio is set up, on my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3, when set to lte/CDMA, you only get LTE /cdma, and if you wanted gsm, you would have to manually switch

Most NEWER Verizon phones are completely compatible with TMOBILE 2g, 3g and 4G LTE.. the IPHONE 5S on Verizon/SPRINT and TMOBILE is compatible with each others networks fully... AT&T is separate because they suck

Not completely compatible with T-Mo LTE. As far as. I know it's only Band 4 LTE, which isn't a very common band for their markets

You will never get a Tmobile phone on Verizon, at least not at this time. Volte may change that.

Also if you want to auto switch, then you would have to root and use an app like advanced signal status to switch to lte/gsm auto prl, at least for the note 3 and s4. The latest update for the Verizon Note 3 disabled access to the hidden menu which is why root is needed
