Well, if they're going to VoLTE NY, NY, they're going to do the suburbs upstate...which they already deployed wideband to, it looks like. Maybe T-Mobile is finally coming to my area after all.

Speed wise, the M7 is cat 3,so it cannot take full advantage of 15+15 or 20+20mhz. But you still have some increase, up to 100mbps, plus capacity increase.

Soon after my post I found an update ready to go, downloaded OTA in less than 10 minutes. We are VOLTE ready here in MN.

I am in Woodbury and have not received my update yet. I keep checking for a software update and I keep getting "The device is up to date" message. Did you have to do something different? Also, are you seeing an increase in download speed now that we are wideband enabled?

Wideband will just work if the tower supports it.

For VoLTE you will only get the update depending on the phone. What phone do you have?

Galaxy S5. According to everything I have read, if you have a phone that supports VoLTE, and you are in a city that it was expanded to, you should have received an update yesterday. Nothing on my end thus far. Annoying!

It might just take a little bit. Sometimes they release in batches.

You can try going to settings, application manager, the all tab, and clearing the Google services framework cache.... Then try to update. This has been shown to work sometimes in the past.

Updated to nf1, despite losing Root, and got volte in the greater LA area. Clear call with good sound and no static or noise.

Is the S5 compatible with wideband LTE? I know this is a silly question but I just got mine, did all the updates and I get VoLTE but no wideband LTE and I'm in Tampa one of the markets it's been announced to have deployed. Called T Mobile tech support and they were clueless even talked to there floor manager and made him sound like a stuttering little girl LOL

You sure you're not on wideband? Where are you looking to check?

Not with these speeds and this includes a pass thru Orlando. Is there a special APN I need? VoLTE works great but no wideband and I live in the center of Tampa

Nothing special needed.. It will just use it when it is there. You can use this dialer code to see what BW you have (example of mine below). It will show 15 if you are on wideband.

Code - *#0011#
