Since we know T-Mobile is working on converting a lot of their edge network to HSPA or LTE I wanted to have a thread to see if you have noticed any differences in your areas.

As for me I used to have edge at a mall that us between where I live (Jacksonville) and Orlando. Outside and inside.. Pretty much all around here was edge... As of today it is a strong LTE connection... Even in doors I'm holding a 1/4 bar LTE connection and as you can see below.. It ain't bad! .

So what about you? Noticing any improvements to edge areas where you live?

Ah, band 4 isn't edge. It is Tmobile's current 4GLTE. If it were refarmed edge, then it would be band 2.

Hm wonder if they just changed it out? I definitely remember being on edge since I was bored out of my mind while the gf shopped :P.

They could have added a 4GLTE tower or upgraded the existing tower for 4GLTE capabilities.

There used to be a map of user refarm sightings... Hosted on a .de of all things. That site's domain was not renewed and it is gone.

I'm in a tertiary market (at best). We did get LTE into the Springfield, MO area recently, but I wobble between LTE and H+ (4G label). Away from town it is EDGE.

Then the posted should have said "for Samsung" and not "for android" right?

Do you or anyone else know what those codes/numbers mean when you dial the 0011 and the screen comes up? I get the band part, but the other stuff? Oh and I found out that you can see your wifi info too by pressing the menu button and selecting wifi.

    They are called Hash Codes.

They can get you in trouble as they will make advanced alterations to your device. They should not be considered toys or necessities. Accept all the risks you would accept if you were Alpha Testing.

If you "NEED" to know, you probably already do.

Do a web search for: hash code <my device name and model #>

    Proceed at your own risk
