Just got a brand new Nexus S i9020a and I love it but I was wondering if I should wait for ICS and then root the device or just root it now! the device is running gingerbread 2.3.6. Will I have a problem rooting it after the ICS update? BTW i have seen so many methods online to root this device I am not sure of the one to go with.

The update only pushed to Canadians. It appears that a few US att phones got it and that's it. A Samsung rep told me that att halted the push out, but didn't know why.

att L1 tech supports sts:

2.3.5 released for sprint ns4g only.
2.3.6 pulled by google due to 'bugs'.
2.3.4 most recent avail on att.

credit to att: only 3 mins to tech support on phone.
