Will the Nexus S receive "Jelly Bean"?
I was considering moving from BlackBerry to the Galaxy Nexus, but Rogers Wireless wants an early upgrade fee from me for about $300. Ouch....
However a friend is selling his Nexus S from Rogers for much less, so I thought I could jump on that opportunity and use it until I can upgrade later in the year w/o penalty.
So my question now is - how much longer will it receive support from Google with regards to upgrades? It has ICS on it now. Will it receive 4.1 which I've been seeing people talk about on the forums here?
And a side question... Where's the Rogers Wireless sub-forum for the Galaxy S? lolLast edited by knightfall; 07-04-2012 at 01:10 PM. Reason: Typo.

Re: Will the Nexus S receive "Jelly Bean"?
The OP asked about a Galaxy S but I am assuming he meant Nexus S. The Nexus S in Canada received ICS for all carriers (Rogers included). Sometime this month, Google said they will release Jelly Bean for Nexus S devices.
What is stopping someone who is on AT&T to obtain ICS (and Jelly Bean later on) directly from Google and installing it themselves? - 07-04-2012, 01:12 PM

I ended up getting a Galaxy Nexus last Friday, but I do thank you for your responses.
Rogue, I edited my original post. The name convention of the Androids took me getting used too. I had it right the first time in my thread topic at least.@PegCityNerd - 07-27-2012, 10:00 AM #6
