    Default Note 3: Dim screen

I just got a note 3 on at&t at Costco. When compared to my Verizon note 3 the at&t versions screen isn't as bright as the Verizon one on the same settings. I know two screens aren't going to be exactly the same. The whites on the at&t version aren't really white, more like a dull white/gray. I'm not really happy with it and would like to exchange it for another one. The note's screen is beautiful but this one just doesn't pop like my Verizon one does. Would you guys do the same in this situation?

I did a factory reset to see if that would help but didn't. I turned off the auto brightness and compared the two at full brightness and at minimum brightness. The AT&T version is noticeable dimmer at the minimum brightness. It appears the AT&T version is dimming the screen more than the Verizon version. Probably should stop by an AT&T store and compare mine with their display.

Yes I also feel its too dim when auto brightness is turned on but I haven't compared mine with any other note 3

Auto brightness is for the birds.... Don't use it myself...

I've tried auto brightness 2 or 3 times and haven't been impressed at all. It won't keep the brightness where I want it to be.

I use Velis Auto Brightness App and it works great. The built in feature is slow and not very accurate. Velis works instantly and varies with even subtle light changes.

Might have to give that a try.

Have you tried disabling "Auto Adjust Screen Tone" under Display settings? That did the trick for me.

I would compare it to another AT&T Note3 and exchange the faulty device

Were you able to resolve this issues? I have the same issue with AT&T Note 3 screen that looks blueish or tint of gray when compared to the Verizon Note 3. It's really annoying me because I am not getting the true colors from the device. I compared it with two other AT&T note 3 and they are all the same. Can you let me know if you got to the bottom of this issue?

I ended up exchanging it for another one. While still not as bright as the Verizon version I had, I was having issues with the proximity sensor working when I held my hand over it to get the quick glance to work. You would think the displays would be near identical on them but I guess there is a difference in the software on them.

This is what needs to be done, I learned that with my Note 2. My Note 3 is actually very bright, a little too bright, but I turn off all "auto-adjust" of any kind. That screen tone is a big thing.
