Note 3: RAM too full always

My RAM is always full, between 80 and 90%. How can I fix this?

You don't need to pay attention to the amount of RAM your phone is using, unless you are experiencing a decrease in performance.

To echo Neonworm, Android likes having RAM full as opposed to Windows.

It is good for it to be full. It means your device is ready to serve you faster as it doesn't have to load as much from regular storage.

Try the Clean Master app on the Play Store. It will alert you to when you are using to much RAM and it will help clean it up for you.

Yes I am having the same issue.
At least once in a day clean master reminds me that more than 90% ram is in use. I am guessing this is due to some bloatware by samsung and att
In my previous mobile( ASUS padfone 2) with 2 gb ram, this much memory was not always used

Another question I had is the total ram is only 2.4 gb .
I know that you dont always get the 100% available but I was hoping atleast 2.8 out of 3 gb to be available

Y'all are great!!! The only thing I have happen on my phone and tablet is with typing response. I'll be typing, I'm a fast typer, then all of a sudden it will lock up, stick, then one word will type and then I'm waiting for the next word, the keyboard won't respond etc....

Is this due to my RAM being too full or is there something else I need to fix?

Most likely not related to RAM. Are you using Samsung's keyboard by chance?

A lot of people like swiftkey. Some like swype. There are a few others. I think the Samsung keyboard is actually a swiftkey variant. The standard google keyboard is also decent.

I used swiftkey till I got the Note 3. Honestly they keyboard that comes default is pretty darn good.

I like SwiftKey myself. The prediction system in SwiftKey is probably the best I've ever seen. It corrects close to 95% of the crap I attempt to type and I'm the worst at typing on a screen. LOL

My personal favorite is the Google Keyboard. I can actually hit the space bar (Twice as big as the Samsung keyboard one)

It depends. I think any of them can have that happen. I very rarely have that problem on the stock keyboard.

My question would be how many background tasks does your phone have on it.

I recommend Google Keyboard. It is my favorite keyboard out of all of them. It also has swipe-to-type support.
