Note 3: Clock widget freezes

I've noticed that any clock widget I use generally freezes while phone is idle. In other words, when I unlock my phone the widget will be stuck at a different time than what it actually is. A reboot puts in all back in order. Any one else experience this?

No not at all, and I use several different clock widgets. I also checked with my friend who has the AT&T Note3 model and she hasn't experienced this either. Must be a conflicting app of some sort.

Thanks spencerdl. It happens on both my VZW and AT&T Note 3 ' s . I wonder if it has anything to do with Beweather as that is the only app that both phones have alike. Well besides FB.

I use Beweather, Android Clock Widgets, Android Battery widget and Zooper Widget on a daily basis. Have you tried delete, reset and reinstall?

I have. Of course it could be a bad file in my Beweather folder. Started on the AT&T note. All I did was transferred files for fonts and icons for the app.

You stated in your original post that all your clock widgets freeze....even the stock clock widgets?

Yes sir. Even the stock ones. I guess what I will do is start fresh with Beweather. It did the same on my Note 2. It has to be a bad file in there somewhere.

Spencerdl, just to make sure I remembered correctly...This is a screen shot with stock clock widget frozen as of a few minutes ago. I did everything I needed to do with weather app but still happens. On to the next....

I turned off auto date and time to see if that might do anything.

This is NOT normal for sure. Maybe a trip to a carrier store or a call to Samsung might be in order....especially since it's freezing with the stock time widget.

What gets me is the fact that both my Verizon and AT&T phones experience this. It has to be something I've installed.

Spencerdl, are you running in power saving mode by chance?

Nope not at all and I get excellent battery usage....My Note3 has been off the charger since 8AM. I also don't use auto update.

Since it's happening to both your Verizon and AT&T Note3's, I'm also thinking it must be something that you have on both devices.

I turned both off on AT&T phone but left them on with the Verizon phone. See if that makes a difference.

Lol...sorry...This either started with my Note 1 or Note 2...I wonder if it has anything to do with my wallpaper. That's the only thing I have not messed with yet but have used on all 3 Notes.

Is it a "live" wallpaper? The Marine Corps wallpaper is a live rotating wallpaper.
