For some reason I can't get this to work?? For the 2 files that's suppose to go on internal memory am I suppose to extract the files then place them on internal memory or place the whole zip file in internal memory? In the post it said to extract files to root of internal memory so I'm a little confused there. And is the root of my internal memory just as simple as placing it in internal memory or is there more I'm supposed to do? Any help please

when you say you extracted them to your sd card you took the zip file and had it actually unzip to the sd card or unzipped on your computer and transfer the files to the card? I think that's where I'm confused on how to unzip to root

Are you still stuck? If so, look into this... I did this and was able to successfully restore back to MJ5. Then completed the normal upgrade process through AT&T Software Update.

[12/29] Restore for MJ5 --Doesn't trip Knox and optionally provides root-- - xda-developers

Let me know before starting this, if you choose to do it. There are a couple of things I want you to know about the process that's not mentioned in the list to-do's.

I doubt it will be the same. I think think there was a corrupted sys file causing your issue IMHO. I think by re flashing your system, you'll be ok from here on out.

What's the difference between moving it to the internal and just placing it in the internal from the PC?
Also, what is it supposed to do after the reboot? (with the files in place?)

This method is very old. I recommend using N900AUCUCNC2 ODIN Files | AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 | XDA Forums - post 136 has currently good links. It's a one-step Odin flash (use Odin 3.9 so the file names match the slot names - it'll work on earlier versions if you know which files go into which slots) for 4.4.2. You can use the 4 files to end up with a fresh, out-of-the-box phone (it'll boot into the setup screen) or the all-in-one to flash the ROM but leave your stuff intact. (I think I got that right-way-up - please read the thread.)

After booting, the phone will work like any new ROM - a long setup time between boot and the first screen. Go make a cup of coffee, don't get nervous.
