The AT&T Messages app is killing my battery.

AC Question

I recently activated a Note 3 with AT&T. I've had the phone for a while, using it more as a mini-tablet at home. After a few days with AT&T, my phone started losing charge very quickly. I can go to bed with 70% and wake up at 14%. I checked under Settings, General, and Battery, and it seems to be AT&T Messages causing the problem. This app came with the phone and cannot be deleted, but I could probably disable it. I'm not sure as to it's importance though. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums. If you aren't using the phone with a number, no it isn't important. You can disable it if you would like.
