AT&T Galaxy S4: Date missing in notification panel

I can only see the TIME in the notification pulldown panel and i would like to see the date and time.

ATT galaxyS4 I337 running android 4.4.2 NOT ROOTED.

In settings, Date and Time, try selecting Automatic Date and Time. See if that brings it up.
If not turn off the phone for a few minutes and back on.

Hope something works.
