Wow video chat is awesome!

Dare I say it again, I love this screen! I just did my second video chat and it was perfect! Because the screen is larger, I can see myself easily in the small inset screen and the person I'm talking to is perfectly visible and big! It's fast, no glitching, no loading, just smooth as silk conversation with a gorgeous screen! Tango is working beautifully videochatting with iPhones. I have this forum to thank for introducing me to Tango. Thank you!

Does Fring work with iPhones too? I just couldn't believe how incredible it was to video chat with this phone! I feel like I've stepped into the 21st century from the stone age after leaving Blackberry behind. Seriously, the colors and resolution are incredible and I can't imagine having a better experience on a smaller screen. This is so cool!

Yes it does as if matter of fact I take my galaxy sII with me and my kids at home have two ipod touch 4th generation and we are able to video chat via Fring.

B/f that I had an iphone4 and my friend has always had the HTC Evo and we used to both fring video chat just find. Fring is compatible with iOS and android.

Do these videochat apps interoperate with each other and with iPhone Facetime, or do you need the same app at both ends?

The description of Tango in the marketplace says both need to use Tango

I tried it for the first time yesterday. It was amazing. The screen size made it feel so comfortable. I didn't realize Skype worked with the Infuse. I'll have to try that one too!

I know Tango requires the app at both ends and I think that must be why it runs so silky smooth. What fun!

I'm running Gingerbread with the a new Google talk apk and I can video chat with my wife from her laptop. Its pretty great too.

If tried them all last night except skype and I'm back to Tango. They all work but I think Tango is a bit smoother, for me anyway. I like the interface too. This is so amazing. I know you all have been doing this for a long time, but I couldn't do it on my BB, so this is brand new for me! It's going to make work a lot easier too.

I just can't get enough of this phone!

I tried Tango, and also think the video is smoother. But my front camera (video of me) is like way to close. I have to hold it at arms length just to get part of my face in the shot. I've looked around a bit, but can't find anything where I can edit the settings.

Any suggestions?

I've tried Qik video a few times,which was great on this phone,and haven't tried much others besides skype .

Qik and Tango both work flawlessly for me on my infuse. I have both because my girlfriends Bionic doesn't support Qik, but Tango it does. Skype would be fine, but you can't use the front facing camera until we GB on the Infuse.

All this talk of video chat, with what I understand using froyo 2.2.... IThought you had to have GB for both cams to work????

supposedly that was what they said, but qik and tango refused to think otherwise. Skype (who owns qik) decided to follow the rules and stuck with back camera only before gb update. But with a custon GB rom, it is quite nice since I skype more than other video chats

Hi Samuri65,

We are aware of the 'zoomed' video issue on the Infuse and plan on addressing it in a future update to Tango.
