unable to use wireless tether since flashing MIUI

So, a few weeks back I flashed MIUI. And apparently, since then, I've been unable to use wireless tethering. I was able to do it when I was rooted, running stock, and after freezing the tethering manager process using Titanium Backup. Well, I picked up a GTab (wifi only) and tried using my phone to tether to it, when to my surprise, I can't. and its not just my GTab - can't connect my laptop, my Xbox, nothing. anyone seen this, and what was the resolve?
