AFTER ICS upgrade could not load apps

Keep getting message

"XXXXXX" could not be downloaded due to an error. (-101)

EXACT same message... app you are trying to download shows up in XXXXX location... and does not download or install....

HELP.... I am above a total novice but below competent with the phone...

After ICS upgrade? You mean a ROM? Or the official 2.3.6 update?

The 'official' Samsung site was not working.... so I used the recipe on this site... and it worked super...

I got the file finally from Your file is ready for download

the upgrade went as advertised... worked like a champ... battery life much extended.... faster....

except for one little thing.... apps....

I had that same issue after the official upgrade. I went back and did a factory reset after installing the ugrade and it worked like a champ.

I've learned with these phones...after you do any upgrade be it official or Flashing roms...always back up your and do factory resets....Seems to work everytime.

Thanx for the info.... I did the factory reset this morning and all is OK.... how do you 'backup your phone'... ??

I am new to this... not computers etc.... just the phone... can I dump all apps to backup and then re-install from the card ??....

You're running Gingerbread, not ICS.
