Hey I just wanted to share a little info with all infuse modders. There's an alpha build/port of ICS built by jt1134. Check it out if interested at this link: [ROM] [ICS] [IMM76D] CM9 ICS Alpha Port for Infuse4G [04/12] - Infuse 4G Development - RootzWiki

Edit: Listed below is more advancements on ICS:

AOKP: [ROM][Unofficial AOKP]UNi-yuma-PoRN Build40[062912][Aroma] - xda-developers

CM9: [Firmware][ICS]UNOFFICIAL CM9 for the Infuse 4G (06/27/2012) - xda-developers

Plus we have some JB on the way right here. So keep it locked cos the infuse is on fire!

Head on over to xda for some AOKP ICS for the infuse. Things just keep heading up. Follow this link: [ROM][Unofficial AOKP]UNiPoRN Alpha[05082012] - xda-developers

I tried that and experienced the following problems:

1) not very responsive.
2) short battery life - may be due to the fact there is no native task manager, I found so many apps running in the background comparing when I was running Froyo and Gingerbread. I installed a task manager app and it is not as good as the native task manager I mentioned before.
3) wifi issues - wifi is connected but is grey out so it is not actually working. Gmail is not updated and also difficult to connect to websites.

I am running Emancipation A1 now and I think it is smooth as silk and good battery life and no wifi issues.

The build is in its alpha stage, but I'm not sure why you're having such a rough time. I've been running it for a week now, and so far so good. The battery took about 2 days to settle for me, but I'm a power user (work related) so the drainage happens like I expect it. The wifi is one of those issues that's part of the alpha items needing to be fixed and is currently being worked on. So I guess until all kinks are ironed out, it's gonna run like an alpha build. Honestly though, for an alpha build, it's the best I've seen. I use it as my DD.
