I was deleting conversations in my text message inbox yesterday. As I was deleting a conversation, the person sent me a text message. The text message now shows up in my notifications but does not show up in my inbox. When I click on the message it takes me to a new message screen. It is driving me crazy!

I have tried turning the phone off, taking the battery out, deleting the contact, having the person text me again, texting the person back, etc. Nothing will work. The only thing I have not tried is to either delete ALL of the messages in my inbox or reset the phone completely. I only want to do this if I know they will fix the problem.

How do I get rid of this phantom text message??
