Default Not Happy With The Infuse.....

So I picked up the Infuse at a local shop for 399.00 retail! the owner of the shop had it as his phone for a few weeks but decided to sell it. I like the feel of the phone but the sound on the calls and speaker phone were terrible. Also the HSPA+ on ATT was horrendous. It seemed 3 times slower than 3G on my iphone. So needless to say, I took it back. I'm going to stick with my Iphone untill the galaxy S2 comes out...

Sorry to hear about that. Theres a possibility that the phone you got might have been defected. The calls I made on the Infuse are clear in and out. The speaker phone works, its not the best that a phone can offer but it works. And Im pretty sure that if you expierenced those type of speeds, your area hasnt been enhanced with backhaul yet. If your gonna get the GS2 and your network area doesnt have the right backhaul for HSPA+, your probably gonna get the same signal with that phone to.
Just swapped out the Xoom Tablet for an IPhone. I never ever thought I would get an IPhone. Im currently eating my words. Apple has a lot going on here....Im loving both platforms.

My call quality is fine. Nothing out of the norm in either direction. I've experienced a weird issue with speeds, as well, though. It might be a similar situation to yours. I think there's an issue with using the Infuse on AT&T's slower network. I work in an area that doesn't have 3G coverage. My last device could load YouTube videos EXTREMELY faster, than my Infuse, when used in that same area. I really believe this has to do with the newer SIM having a reduced ability to operate on the slower system. I could be way off, here, but it's the only possible explanation I can think of. Were u using the same SIM, in each device?

Call quality is definitely not as good as my old 3GS, but not near bad enough to make me want to return it.

For me, it seems to be all about location, location, location. 3G on my previous phone was golden in my area (san diego suburbs), but this HSPA+ is a hit or miss. As I move closer to the city, it works as advertised. Until AT&T expands their coverage, I don't think any other HSPA+ backhaul blah blah blah phone will make a difference for me while sitting on my couch. I still have a couple weeks to decide if I can live with it as is.

I haven't experienced any slow downs and the speaker is great. Loudest phone I have ever had. Guess I got lucky

    Default Comparative

His issue is probably comparative. The call quality and internet speeds might not be that bad for others, but they might not have come from an iphone, namely the i4. He probably returned it due to the 3G speeds though, seeing as to how ATT's "4G" is a joke and the iphone has the best 3G speeds to date on that particular network.

I got my Infuse yesterday and I'm nothing but impressed. I went from a 3GS and the Infuse is better in every way. Call quality is vastly improved over the 3GS and the Infuse is substantially faster at everything. In my area there isn't even any sort of 4G network as of yet, but this phone blazes. It can be slightly inconsistent but in speedtests I get pretty consistent 5.5mbs down and 1.3 up. Much faster than my 3GS. On my wifi network the thing does 16.5mbps down and 3mbps up.
