Default Who to call to stop AT&T from harassing me.

For the past couple of months I've started watching/streaming heavily on my phone. So obviously my data usage increases exponentially. So now AT&T keeps on harassing me either with text, or letter accusing me of tethering. yes accusing me of tethering, and in fact they say "record shows that I am tethering." Which I don't.

Is there a number that I can call (besides the number they asked you to call) to make this stop? Where can I call to complain about this? It's ridiculous especially because 1.) I'm not tethering. I'm in the office, in front of a computer 40 hours a week, why the heck would I need to tether. 2.) I have an unlimited data plan.

    Thanks in advance.

If you really weren't tethering AT ALL, they have no basis for that claim. I say grab a good lawyer and tell them to shove it up their derrière.

don't bother calling a lawyer, just turn on your WiFi.

spend 15 minutes on legal website learning a bunch of jargon then call AT&T pretending to be a lawyer ordering them to stop before you go after them for harassment. or WiFi it up

A drastic increase in data usage us generally a red flag of tethering, but they haven't bothered to research it further. If they look at it further they will be able to tell what you are doing. Is there a reason you dont want to just explain it to customer service?

That being said, even though you may not be tethering there is a strong chance you are going to get throttled if you fall into the top couple percent of data users. Either way you need to talk to someone and if it were me my first call would be to customer service.
