undo insurance claim
I filed an insurance claim on My atrix4g, but had to leave on a business trip right away. In order to get through I had the screen replaced by a local for less than my deductible. I am happy with the 4g and am not interested in changing to the provided atrix2. I just think the atrix2 is too big (i know I am in the minority but that is why I got the Atrix4g).
as I now have a working phone 4g, and a replacement Atrix2, I would like to call up and cancel the claim. has anyone done this? any advice? I really don't want to pay the $100 plus deductible to replace what is now a working phone.Art

Re: undo insurance claim
If it's through Asurion, forget it.
At some point during the claim process whether over the phone or online, you agreed to a non-refundable deductible of $100.
Non-Refundable is just how its stated.
Only luck you may have is getting a carrier credit on your monthly statement, but that's a big IF also.
I would keep it as a backup or sell it to make your money back.
But for sure, the Insurance Company does not have to issue you a refund, and 99.99999% positive they will not.To Each His Own - 03-23-2012, 12:35 PM #3
