Unbiased opinion NY/LI
I'm really bummed out that vzw isn't getting the one x or even anything close. Can someone in my area give me an unbiased opinion about AT&Ts coverage ? Vzw is decent in my area. Would I be ok canceling my contract and going with at&t. I am a huge HTC fan and I'm so disappointed all we may get is an inc4g.

You are going to miss out on Unlimited Data with your Verizon Wireless plan.
If you are OK with letting go of it, then switch on over to AT&T! We'll be happy to take you off of VZW's expensive hands.
Are you part of a family plan or individual plan?
AT&T, overall is cheaper. And a lot better quality in devices. Except, with the DROID line-up.
We do have the Titan II -Windows Phone 7.5 4GLTE device if you're interested in WP7
You might also be interested in the fastest iPhone on the planet with 10MBps speeds over faux 4G, (3.5G HSPA+)
And with Android, of course, there's the HTC One X, and that's pretty much it, for now...
I am also a fervent HTC fanboi! (Frak you Samsung, and your copy-catness!!)
I would take a peek at the Sony Xperia ion as an alternative, (that I'm making purchase of btw)
One X vs. Xperia ion looks like this:
Normal SIM - iPhone/iPad SIM
S4 chipset - S3 chipset
ICS w/Sense - ICS w/minimal skin
GPS/GLONASS = GPS/GLONASS
BT 4.0 - BT 2.1
Hit and miss compatibility with games - PlayStation Store comparable, along with CONFIRMED games ( http://blogs.sonymobile.com/games/ )
HDMI Ready w/adapter - HDMI out-of-the-box
No Expandable storage - 32GB micro SD card ready
NFC = NFC (BUT, Sony is taking advantage of NFC out-of-the-box by Offering neat accessories like NFC Smart tags that work by- well, look for yourself:

HTC is not anywhere near sophisticated enough, or diverse enough to branch out to assist you with your life with other accessory devices. So, if you're comfortable with a phone, an just, well, a phone, then pick the HTC One X and be happy with it.
Otherwise, the Xperia ion, launching in June 2012, on AT&T 4GLTE will certainly help you with your life then just being an Android Me-Too device. [HTC One X] *wink*wink*Nudge*etc.*
If you want something more, then wait for June 2012!
Here is a final video of promotion for the Xperia ion.

Re: Unbiased opinion NY/LI
You can still return your HTC One X, or SELL IT and get the Xperia ion out of contract!*
